Aaron Charlton is a 20-year digital marketing veteran with a PhD in Marketing from University of Oregon (’19). Aaron specializes in search marketing, the process of getting businesses to show up for searches like “locksmith near me” on Google, AI and other search engines. Aaron is also a co-owner of Medical BOSS, a virtual assistant outsourcing company. Aaron lives in Flagstaff, Arizona with his wife, Mandy, who owns QuilTak, and his four children.

Aaron’s Background
Digital Marketing
Aaron has worked in Digital Marketing since exiting the Army at the end of 2006. He has mainly focused on search marketing during this time and has worked for a lot of healthcare companies and home service companies. He specializes in organically growing companies through content marketing and targeted outreach to build a network.
Academia
Aaron spent 8 years in academia doing consumer behavior research, meta-analysis and statistics as well as teaching marketing courses, including Digital Marketing. During his academia years (2014-22) his digital marketing work took a back seat, though he did study it and teach it still, as well as continuing to serve clients on the side. Army
Aaron served in the U.S. Army in both Afghanistan as an anti-aircraft platoon leader (’03-’04) and Iraq as a heavy weapons infantry platoon leader and later as an Iraqi Security Forces liason (’06-’07). When Aaron got out of the Army at the end of ’06 he was an Infantry Captain.
